Introducing CollectiGO

CollectiGO is a mobile app for cataloguing personal collections offline. It is being built for people who collect physical things and want a practical record on their own device, without creating an account and without handing their data to a cloud service.

The project started from a simple problem. Many collectors end up spreading information across notebooks, spreadsheets, camera rolls, and generic apps that were never designed for books, records, stamps, cards, sneakers, or document archives. That works for a while, but it becomes harder to search, compare, and maintain over time. CollectiGO is meant to give those collections one clear home.

Existing tools often force a choice that does not fit collecting very well: either stay with improvised lists, or move everything into a service that depends on accounts, servers, and permanent connectivity. CollectiGO is being built around a different assumption. For most day-to-day use, a collection should remain available on the phone, work offline, and stay under the owner's control by default.

What v1.0 includes

The first public version is focused on the core job: reliable collection management on Android. v1.0 is planned to include 14 ready-made collection types, including books, vinyl records, coins, stamps, video games, figurines, sneakers, watches, cameras, LEGO sets, document archives, trading cards, comics, and a custom type for anything that does not fit a preset structure.

Beyond basic cataloguing, the first release is also planned to include tags with color labels, a wishlist for wanted items, full-text search, filters, 13 interface languages, dark mode, and an Offline+ option for collectors who need unlimited collections and items. The main rule behind all of it is simple: core use should stay offline, local, and fast.

Timeline

CollectiGO is still in development. Google Play publication has not started yet, and there is no fixed public release date to announce today. Android is the first and current target platform.

After the first release, development is planned to move toward sharing and exchange features such as QR-based transfer, Friends, Inbox, and import or export tools. Longer term, optional sync is being researched carefully, but it is not a promise and it will not replace the offline-first model.
